Customer’s Thanks
Let me share my little happiness happened to me today.
We had many customers today, and our branch office was full of people all day long. It was such a busy day (as usual...). You know, it is not a good situation for customers, and that makes them irritated easily. I have seen many people who get irritated or angry while they are waiting. However, today, one middle-aged man smiled his thanks to me after I completed his transaction. He had to wait but never looked angry. He might have had some time to wait though. When I called him and said “Thank you for waiting, Mr. ~.” he answered “Thank you for your great work.” It was nice of him to make sure my name and call me back. His thanks made me so happy. That made me work even harder.
Customers’ “thanks” gets rid of my tiredness even if I have to work hard and feel tired.
Some people are impatient and sometimes get mad at me, but I have not hated my job so far. I think meeting those who are irritated makes me become a nicer person, because I know how people feel when others are getting angry. So, I want to do something nice for those who are around me.

Birthday Gift 2
Thank you for giving me so many surprises last night. You guys are so sweet.
Me and my friends had dinner together to celebrate our birthdays last night. I wanted to celebrate them, but they celebrated me amazingly. Yeah, it was like magic!
They had two big bags when I met them. I thought they bought something for themselves. But now as you might imagine, those were for me! I never imagined it because we just planed to have dinner together.
We went to a restaurant where I chose. Since I prepared a little gifts for them, I gave them while we were having dinner. Then, they also gave me a present. It was a big doll of winking Pooh! Oh~ that was very sweet of them. I am sure my friend who loves Disney envies me!
And guess what? All of sudden, the lights were turned off and the staff brought me a birthday cake. My friends, the staff and some other people sitting around us sang a birthday song for me. You know, I chose the restaurant just last night, but my friends prepared for all! It was so touching, and I almost cried!
After the dinner, we went to have a cup of coffee. While we were chatting, they gave me the second present. Their way of giving it was funny. The present was really big and heavy, they told me that they did not carry it anymore and wanted me to bring it home. They forced me to open it! You know, they got such a sense of humor. And it was kind of them to carry the present for me ;-) I never imagined what was in the box. When I opened it, I got shocked because they gave me a fan that I have wanted for a long time. Gosh, it will keep me cool in summertime!
I have never received so many surprises one night. Thanks to them, I had a really really really wonderful time. I can never thank them enough.

Birthday Gift
Thank you all who celebrated me on my birthday! My family, friends, host family… they gave me a phone call, a greeting card, or an e-mail, which made me so happy. It was so sweet of my friends to sing a birthday song for me over the phone.

Firework
I love fireworks! Here comes the season!
Me and my friends got together and enjoyed watching fireworks tonight.
We could watch the fireworks from one of our friend’s house. IT WAS PERFECT! There was a balcony that we could enjoy chatting and eating foods which we made, we had only our friends around us (it was not crowed of course!), the room was air-conditioned, there were no mosquitoes, etc… mmm~ everything was a luxury.
While we were watching fireworks, one of our friends informed us that he is going to get marriage! How lovely it is! It was the happiest thing tonight. I felt so happy for him that I almost cried.
I was excited and kept impressed tonight, and I thought it would be nice if I could live in the house that I can enjoy watching fireworks!
Postcard from Switzerland
Postcard…I think it is sweeter than an e-mail.
My German host family is spending their vacation in Switzerland, and they sent me a postcard from there. Can you imagine how much I got excited to receive it? It made me so happy.
My birthday is coming, so when I received the postcard, I felt I got a birthday present from them.
