Time to say good bye to a wonderful manager...but keep in touch

I was speechless…
I could not believe it…
I wished it would be a dream…
But it will happen…

At the team meeting today, our team head told us she is going to leave the company at the end of May. Everyone got shocked to know it. I lost my words. My mind almost went blank.

The reason is because of her physical condition and her family matters. It is not the company fired her. It is not she is going to work for another financial firm. It is not she sensed the company would pull out of the Japanese market. No matter how current financial market is bad, everyone knows she is needed for the company. She was honest when she told us the reasons. Maybe she was sincere to us in order not for us to doubt the company.

I could not believe what she said, and it was hard for me to get back to work after the meeting. I was telling myself to work as usual though… I was ok, but I got down. My supervisor, who is also the head’s assistant, already accepted the fact and asked me “Are you ok? I wanna do anything for you. I know you respected her…”

We, team members decided to hold a big farewell party for her. We wanna hold it to thank her and cheer for her life, but everyone had a sad smiling face talking about the party…

She is a wonderful person as a manager, banker, and
woman. All employees enjoy working with her. She trains staff, gives advice and solves any problems for us. She is so trustworthy that her clients have been following her. Nobody can replace her even though there are many great people in the office.

She decided to hire me. I remember the interview with her… At the interview, I thought I want to work with her. Every time I faced difficulties on the job, she noted and gave me advice. She has even worked on others in order to make better working environment for me even though I was a new joiner.

That is her decision to leave the compnay, and nobody can change the reality. Nobody can imagine what’s gonna happen and how our working environment will be changed after she’s gone. But we need to work without her.

She has kept working. After she got married the year before last, she never stopped working. Maybe, it might be the time for her to take a break.

I worked with her for about a half year, but I’ve got a lot of memories. I wish I could work with her more and more but I can also think in this way; I am lucky to have been able to work with her.

One thing remains the same; we will respect her forever.

Cherry Blossoms

Me and my coworkers planned to go to see cherry blossoms in Shinjyuku-Gyoen. It was my first time to visit the park, and the park is bigger and more beautiful than I imagined! Also the weather was gorgeous. We enjoyed seeing the cherry blossoms with foods and drinks;-) It was really crowded, but we had a lot of fun together!

SPRINGGROOVE 08

Me and my friends went to the SPRINGGROOVE today. I was so excited to listen to Ne-Yo and Rihanna at the event!!!

Both singers were sooooooooooo cool and very charismatic! There were so many people standing and waiting when the singers appeared. It was too crowded and too hard for me to stand there and watch the singers. I could not even watch the live screen...But I enjoyed listening to their songs.

We got exhausted, but it was a lot of fun;-)
